Located in Chevy Chase, DC, we are walking distance from Lafayette Elementary School. Enrolled students will be picked up daily after school from Lafayette Elementary School and walk to our campus with our caring staff. Meet our staff. Our program could use some additional supplies. If you would like to help, our Amazon wish list is available.
All families from the community are welcome to apply for enrollment. We currently enroll children in Pre-K to 5th grade.
ECC staff members will be at Lafayette by 3:00 p.m. each day to greet the children. ASEP Staff will take attendance to account for each student before walking back to ECC. All staff and children will abide by pedestrian safety rules, and use of cross walks. Once children arrive at ECC an email will be sent to families to inform them that their child/children have arrived safely.
*Please make sure that children are dressed properly in the event of rain, snow or cold weather.
OPEN HOUSE ON SATURDAY, APRIL 27
We will be holding an open house for our After School Enrichment Program! Please join us to learn about our approach to enrichment - homework time, fun, exploration and play! Tour our beautifully renovated classrooms and consider signing up your child. The open house will be held at our campus at 5901 Utah Avenue NW in Washington, DC:
Saturday, April 27, 12:00pm - 2:00 pm
If you can't make it to the open house, private tours are available by request. Please contact admissions@eccofdc.org to schedule.
Our instructors will help your children with their homework and also offer instruction in fun learning activities, including art, music, and nature. Foozball, pingping and pool are available in our recreation area. Outdoor play and sports (in our renovated gymnasium) will also be part of our program.
All Students: Will receive a snack when they arrive on campus. ECC is a nut-free facility.
Grades Pre-K - Grade 1: Following snack time, children will engage in storytime and indoor/outdoor play.
Grades 2-5: Homework time of up to 30 minutes will be set aside after transition/snack time for students who have homework. If students don’t have homework they will read quietly until homework time is over.
Grades 2-5: Recreational activities will occur once homework is complete. Students will engage in indoor and outdoor physical activities and structured play. In the event of inclement weather physical activities will be restricted to the gymnasium.
For all Students: Indoor enrichment activities will occur in the Gymnasium and Building C’s Art Studio, Music Room, Media Room, Fun Zone, Library and All-Purpose Lounge.
The ASEP Community will participate in cleanup and dismissal preparation at the end of each day.
Qualified child education professionals who have successfully completed background checks and are certified in pediatric CPR and First Aid run our programs.
Program leadership and supervision is provided by the After School Coordinator, Aftercare Teachers, and screened volunteers. All staff members undergo fingerprinting and background checks. Staff members have been trained in First Aid and CPR/AED and Epi-pen Administration.
Use the ProCare app to let us know you have arrived. Pickup by 6:15 p.m. to avoid a late fee. Hours are 3:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Use the ProCare app to handle payment and manage your account easily.
There is street parking available along Utah Ave NW. Upon arrival parents must scan the posted QR code along with their 4 digit PIN to sign students out for dismissal. If you lose your 4 digit PIN the ASEP Coordinator can provide you with it.
Monthly tuition for 5-day week participation is $475.
Monthly tuition for 3-day week participation is $285.
Tuition is due the first Friday of every month using the ProCare platform.
A non- refundable application fee of $30 and a one month’s security deposit of $475 (refundable) or $285 (3-day/week enrollees) will be due upon registering for the ASEP. The security deposit will be refundable in full when 30 days notice is given prior to a child’s withdrawal from the program.
